Who operates CarrotX Video
CarrotX Video is developed and operated by Sultan Hameed under the CarrotX name. This policy applies to the CarrotX Video Android application and its supporting download service.
Information processed
CarrotX Video does not require an account. When you intentionally tap the download button, use the Quick Settings tile, or share a link to CarrotX Video, the app processes the link you selected and sends it to the CarrotX service to prepare the requested video.
- The selected media URL is used temporarily to complete your request. Raw URLs are not stored in analytics.
- A random installation identifier is used for queue ownership, duplicate prevention, reliability, and abuse protection. Analytics store only a cryptographic hash of this identifier.
- Operational records may include a broad provider category, job status, timestamps, and delivered file size.
- IP addresses may be processed temporarily by network infrastructure and security controls for delivery, rate limiting, troubleshooting, and protection against misuse.
- The app accesses clipboard text only after a user-initiated download action. It does not continuously monitor the clipboard.
Downloaded files
Prepared video files are stored temporarily on the CarrotX server for delivery and cleanup. Completed or failed job files are scheduled for deletion within six hours and may be removed sooner after successful delivery. Videos saved to your device are placed in DCIM/CarrotX and remain under your control.
How information is used
Information is used only to deliver requested videos, display download progress, maintain the five-link queue, diagnose failures, measure aggregate service reliability, and prevent fraud, attacks, or excessive use.
Sharing and selling
CarrotX Video does not sell personal information and does not use it for targeted advertising. Data may be processed by infrastructure providers that host or transmit the service, or disclosed when legally required or necessary to protect users, rights, and service security.
Retention and control
Temporary links and media are retained only for the operational period described above. Pseudonymous service records may be retained as reasonably necessary for security, reliability, and aggregate reporting. Clearing the app's data resets its future installation identifier. Uninstalling the app removes its local app data but does not automatically remove videos you saved to the device gallery.
Security
CarrotX uses encrypted network connections, request limits, isolated job ownership, and restricted administrative access. No internet service can promise absolute security, but we work to reduce unnecessary collection and protect the information we process.
Children
CarrotX Video is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy when the app, service, or legal requirements change. The latest version and effective date will remain available on this page.
